It is our goal to pass onto valued clients the essentials to the Occupational Health and Safety Act to enable them to reduce the risk of critical injury, loss of life or damages to their work environments by educating the employer through knowledge, training and experience of our profession and the professionals within company organizations by adopting safe work practices to increase productivity and job performance within institutions.

Chainsaw Safety & Hazard Awareness

Upon completion, participants will have a working knowledge of the requirements, guidelines, and procedures to operate and maintain chainsaws safely.

Topics include:

Operating hazards
Safety features
Maintenance requirements
Chain and bar features
Personal protective equipment
Fuelling and starting procedures
Handling and cutting techniques

A certificate of acheivment, wallet card and record of training for the employer will be provided to successful participants.

This is an awareness program only. There is no hands-on operating component to this program. Workers should receive additional training and supervision on the equipment they will be using by a competant chainsaw operator.
